Defeeted

An old commission involving Fighter again. Poor girl can't catch a break, it looks like!

After a long day of warrior-duties, Fighter returns to her home and decides to kick off her boots and prop her feet up. Beating that hag wasn't so difficult, after all! She did wonder about that last curse the old crone muttered, though...oh well. As she sits down to enjoy a nice rest after a job well done, she feels her heart grow just a little bit tighter in her chest. A wince and a cough dispel Fighter's worry after a time, but the feeling soon returns a little tighter than before.

A few minutes of squirming in her chair end with a soft whimper as Fighter slumps down into her chair, dead as a doornail. It seems the crone did have the last laugh...and poor Fighter's career ends with a final sit in her favorite chair as her heart stops without a struggle. As her half-lidded eyes come to stare at nothingness, her poor, stinky toes twitch a little in protest as their owner dies quietly in her home. I'm sure Ranger will be along and find the scene quite shocking! Poor Fighter!
